A Pop of Color

Before I embark on a new adventure, I always check out travel blogs and Instagram feeds. I search hashtags for famous sites, unique activities, stylish restaurants, stunning backdrops, and upcoming events. 

In addition to planning my itinerary, this on-line research also helps me plan my wardrobe. A key part of my packing strategy is choosing a color scheme that fits in with the vibe of the city/country.

Building my wardrobe around a main color or theme really simplifies my packing and helps me edit my outfits in advance so I can mix and match key pieces. 

It also cuts down on extra pairs of shoes and multiple colors of bulky outerwear. A must when traveling light!

For example, I chose pink for Paris, yellow for Marrakech, black for Dublin, and every color of the rainbow for Myanmar!

And sometimes, a black and white photo says it all.
